Say Yes... or No.

There’s something about stepping into the unknown that never gets easier. You tell yourself it’s just a small move, a new experience, a conversation with someone you’ve never met. But then comes the hesitation—the familiar pull of comfort, the voice that reminds you of all the reasons to stay where you are. I’ve felt that pull more times than I can count. It’s easier to stay in rhythm, to let the days stack up the way they always have. But something shifts when you break that pattern, even slightly. A new place, a different route, a simple yes when you’d usually say no. And suddenly, there you are, in a moment you wouldn’t have had otherwise. Maybe it’s walking into a space you’ve never been, absorbing the energy, feeling like a visitor but knowing you belong. Maybe it’s finding yourself in conversation with a stranger—someone you’d normally pass by, but now you’re sharing a laugh, a thought, a piece of yourself you didn’t expect to give. It’s never really about the thing itself. It’s about proving to yourself that you can. That the weight of fear isn’t as heavy as it seems. That the world expands the moment you decide to meet it halfway. I don’t know where this road leads, and I’m learning to be okay with that. There’s something exciting about the not-knowing, the possibility that the best parts of life are the ones you can’t plan for. So here’s to wandering, to showing up, to seeing what’s out there. You never know what—or who—you might find. The images here are from a recent first time trip to Honolulu Hawaii. I said yes to certain things that I usually wouldn't. Some of these images are from those decisions. I'm beyond grateful for the experiences I've had. The people I am surrounded by. God is really working in my life even when I want to stray.
